Have you read their prospectus? Very interesting positioning of the Comapny. It appears that Alta Vista is positioning itself as a search technology company, with wide-spread applications including corporate intranets and large scale database management and information retrieval. This is interesting when you compare to a Yahoo or Excite who clearly think of themselves more as"Media Companies" than technology companies, focussing on their ability to deliver "eyeballs" to advertisers. Very different strategies for similar type companies that one would tend to lump in to the Internet search category. I am very interested to see how the market receives Alta Vista. BTW, you should check out the details on DEC's ownership interest in the company going forward. Good Luck! Scott
