This stock behaves as if Ascend has announced a new line of 300baud modems! They have great products and will benefit greatly from an exploding internet. I'm in for the long term and so is Ascend. Since I don't have the cash to buy more at these great prices, I sold 400 (keeping 600) and bought JAN99@30 for 6.875 to get some leverage. In 3 or 6 months when everyone realizes that Ascend has not quite rolled over and died, this should fix me up just fine!
