Market higher or lower at the close?

My guess is higher. Reasons:

1. Good economic report, HK stabilizing.
2. Nov/Dec usually good for stocks, why wait til
Monday and have to buy on the gap up.
3. So folks have been worried about "tax selling"
on Oct. 31. I would think most people who wanted/
needed to sell would have had ample time over the
past few days/weeks. Why do it now when we've
hit at least a local bottom and things seem to be
stabilizing.

My thoughts only...any opinions?
