11:30 ET Dow -129, Nasdaq -58, S&P -21.78: [BRIEFING.COM] Market getting hit with broad-based selling efforts today as evidenced by the decidedly negative A/D line at the NYSE and Nasdaq and the disproportionate amount of down volume versus up volume... At this point, tobacco is the only S&P industry group gaining more than 1.0% as the story of leadership today is really a case of what groups are down the least... In that vein, the food, oil service, and household products groups are among the S&P groups where losses have been fairly negligible... Intel (INTC -1.34) IBM (IBM -1.26), SBC Comm. (SBC -1.26), Johnson & Johnson (JNJ -1.25) and International Paper (IP -1.24) are leading the Dow's pullback... NYSE Adv/Dec 914/1890... Nasdaq Adv/Dec 1135/2181.
