Hi Huge,

Good point.

I work with numerious electronic systems and am aware of how hard some "minor" improvements can be. Existing preamps do not meet the rise time (speed to saturation) required by KM and may not provide a sufficient fall time - pulse duration. The preamp seems technically possible, but may requrie a change of logic family and resulting power/voltage adjustments (ex. the P5's change to 3.3 volts and its impact on mother boards) which isn't a big challenge, but may require time to work out all the bugs. The schedule is possible as long as not unexpected problems arise. I've seen "minor" fixes grow into big hairy problems.

I think things are working out for AXC and expect good results in the second half of the year. I just wanted to point out that there were good reasons as to why the major disk manufactuers would delay their acceptance of KM.

Let's keep our fingers crossed.
