Metals Creek Resources Corp. has acquired, through staking, 150 claim units (37.5 square kilometres) within the Mealy Lake intrusion located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Churchill Falls, Labrador. The new project is in the same area as Altius Minerals (ALS-T) 256-square-kilometre Natashquan property and Benton Resources (BEX -V) Mealy property. Altius recently announced a new nickel-copper-cobalt-platinum-group-element discovery and has entered into a joint venture agreement with Anglo American whereby Anglo has the option to earn a 66-per-cent interest in the project through expenditures of $20-million over a five-year period. Exploration highlights from Altius's Nastashquan discovery include 2.68 grams per tonne combined platinum, palladium and gold (grab); 1.04 grams per tonne combined platinum, palladium and gold, and 1.06 per cent copper over 1.30 metres (channel); 1.04 combined platinum, palladium and gold, and 3.92 per cent copper over one metre (channel); and soil samples up to 26,000 parts per million copper (see Altius website).The corporation also reports the granting of incentive stock options to certain directors, officers, employees and consultants of the corporation to purchase a total of 1.91 million common shares in the capital stock of the corporation. The options are exercisable for a period of five years from the date hereof at an exercise price of 10 cents per share.
