The PIV is definately dissapointing at legacy stuff.

I think the SSE2 stuff is pretty impressive as shown by the SPEC and quake scores.

If compilers do become available which really take advantage of sse2 is unknown but it is unlikely to happen quickly and may take a year or two.

As long as hammer family has sse2 support i am now very comfortable with AMD's situation vs PIV family.

I suspect palamino may be a dissapointment to AMD diehards but as long as AMD can hit around 1.5Ghz by mid next year in high volume then its in a pretty decent situation.
