That is some pretty amazing growth projections. An additional 27m processors for '07 ($2.7-4.2B) up for grabs. Then about the same for '08. So in the next two years, the market will grow by at least $5B, probably closer to $7B in annual revenue.

Yet at the moment, it appears Intel is determined to lower their ASPs down into the AMD territory. To what effect? No way are they putting AMD out of business. All they are accomplishing is driving down the industry's ASP. Someone eventually will figure it out, much more profitability for all concerned to take the partial loaf.
