It's OK for you to tout a stock and get paid for it by the people who benefit, but you can't tout the stock and sell into it yourself. Unless of course you're Goldman Sucks... So, I should buy stock A, you buy stock B. I'll tout B, then you tout A. We'll both sell and be AOK since neither one touted a stock that we held. Gee, we should launch a brokerage. Then we can have one analyst tout a stock even as another employee is dumping it en masse, all under one roof! BC
