Spansion to build $1.2 bln chip plant in Japan // The line, located in its existing plant in northern Japan's Fukushima prefecture, is expected to start commercial output of microchips with a circuitry width of 45-nanometres by mid-2008, Spansion Chief Executive Bertrand Cambou told a news conference. Spansion may also make 65-nanometre chips at the new facility, and if it does, volume production would start a little earlier, Cambou said. .. ..
