Quarterdeck Earns 'Best of 1997' from PC Magazine and Finalist Nominations for Spa's 'Excellence In Software' Codie Awards
MARINA DEL REY, Calif., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- After evaluating the finest achievements in personal computing for the last twelve months, PC Magazine has awarded Quarterdeck's (Nasdaq: QDEK - news) CleanSweep 3.0 and WINProbe 95 ''Best of 1997'' in the Uninstaller and Reporting and Diagnostics categories, respectively. Both announcements appear in the publication's January 6, 1998 issue.
PC Magazine is one of the most complete and comprehensive sources of information for PC products currently available. The annual contest serves to identify the handful of products that deserve to be honored as the best of their class.

Each year software industry professionals vote for the Codie finalists and in spring 1998 more than a thousand attend a televised event where the winners are announced from a pool of roughly 175 finalists in 35 different categories.
