I agree 100%.

Having the laptop version come out in November would destroy LS-120 right off the bat-- also a USB version would seal up the iMac market as well. But this seems to not be the case as only the PP verson was announced. I imagine they are not coming out with a SCSI version along with the PP at first because they don't have Mac software drivers ready yet. All test units were probably done on PC's only (Sony VAIO's).

Perhaps Alps is responsible for the laptop version. My guess is that the final Sony production versions have just been shipped from Sony to Teac (for the internal version) and Alps (for the laptop versions). So it may be a couple of months before these versions come out. I imagine what took so long was Sony testing the hell out of the drives trying to avoid the Click of Death.
