Biggest winners in the oil patch implosion...

First will be those whose costs of production are low enough they're not getting killed here... because they didn't overly leverage that low cost production...

Second will be those companies who have just completed DUAL refinancing activities... leaving them with brand new debt issues at low enough rates they can manage the burden... AND with a pocket full of cash from recent equity sales... which from this point are going to be few and far between for a while.

Those companies with a lot of cash... or willing and cooperative lenders... are looking at an ability to buy not even yet distressed assets that are priced at 50 to 75% off right now.

If the timing is right... and it is the virus that is the primary driver... ?

Then, buying the cash rich issues, or sorting out the ones with the friendliest and most patient bankers... also meaning those with bankers who aren't imploding themselves, which itself will cause a chain reaction that drags in innocents... should be a no brain trade.
