It's not clear what your condescending remarks have to do with the very real threat posed to Microsoft by companies with means. Even a naive investor that doesn't understand that stocks can go down (let's try and stay away from the childish insults, shall we?) can grasp that notion.

It's a moot analogy but a valid point to consider StarOffice with $6 billion versus $6 million in the bank. Not to respond in kind, but it's rather naive to assume that an office suite and a warmed-over operating system aren't vulnerable. Microsoft has made no such assumption. Their stock trades at 50 X SALES, that's a high P/E -- twister, it's not a P/E, in case the point escaped you.

BTW, are you a Microsoft employee/agent?
