Let's just say that that I know a fair amount about the details.
If Lattice has acquired the patents along with Vantis, then all they need do is hire some good lawyers and give them a percentage on the final damages. Nothing like the scent of raw blood to get the biggest sharks. If the damages are as big as I expect, then Lattice will have picked up a significant upside to their cash position sometime in the future. Not too bad. This future upside will be something to watch out for in the Lattice stock, as well as th potential to short Altera.
