Seriously, if the Islamic terrorists are smart they will avoid attacking us for a considerable time. Why risk attacks against the mainland USA that would likely reinvigorate the political fortunes of the Bush anti-terrorist hardliners?

September 11 and its aftermath stirred the pot and brought in lots of funding and recruits for the terrorists. IMO it makes vastly more sense for them to deploy these assets against soft targets in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Sudan, Somalia, Palestine etc. Much of Africa is ripe for the picking. Overthrowing Pakistan would be a tremendous prize because of the nukes there. I sure hope we have a good contingency plan for that.
