Allen,

Is it my imagination or has there been a recent acceleration in the product offerings using VxWorks. And it looks like we are finally seeing the deal with Intel begin to bear fruit, and not just with I2O, but anything using the i960RP!

"The hardware is based on an Intel i960RP, so it runs real-time software rather than bulky X86-compatible code. Mylex is using Wind River's VxWorks operating system as the basis for its networking-software architecture."

techweb.com
"Rockwell is going to greater lengths than usual in terms of system-level software. A reference driver for Wind River Systems' VxWorks is provided, under the assumption that real-time kernel support will be far more important than desktop OS support."
