Martin, if you reinstall IE and are concerned about your address book, bookmarks and e-mail files: you can save them first by using the export function. In IE click FILE>IMPORT AND EXPORT and in OE click FILE>EXPORT.

I have found that installing a new version of IE [with OE] retains everything, even my settings. But as PW would counsel "you cannot be too careful".

BTW, I had a special msn version of IE and then later installed a newer generic version of IE on top of it without ill effects. But then I also run with scissors.<G>
AND, I have a backup computer - something nobody should be without.
