Natural miscarriages don't eject all of it on their own after 5 weeks.

A natural miscarriage occurring beyond 5+ weeks requires an abortion, to finalize the term of an intrauterine pregnancy.

I agree it's an offensive term.

But that is its classification.

A doctor's license would be taken away if s/he didn't perform an abortion on a female that had a natural miscarriage after 5 or so weeks, because denying such a cleansing would result in her death.
