it wasn't necessary for police to get to 100+ buildings to 'ensure the shooter wouldn't take hostages' what was needed was a TIMELY advisory to the students so that they could take precautions and hide.... that's what LOCKDOWN means....get to a safeplace and lock yourself away from harm those students that were taken and killed had no business being in that lecture hall, there was plenty of time to cancel all classes and get to a safe place amazing that people like yourself cannot seem to grasp that those students were sitting ducks
