yep, it sounds like nobody really wants to spend money on communications....not sexy

obviously communications, in this case a warning system, is much more relevant than some f'ing armored/weaponized vehicle.....

i watched a security expert yesterday and she said there was just no excuse not to have a text messaging system....she said it wasn't expensive, and it was effective

but i also think there is something more at work here than just inadequate communications...

there seems to be this fear of 'cry wolf' syndrome.....nobody wants to be the guy who makes the call to activate whatever system there is for fear of a false alarm....

however in this case.....there WAS an alarm....they knew they had a killer on the campus, in that situation, you err on the side of abundant caution....yet instead they chose to allow classes to stay on schedule creating a false sense of security, which imo, cost additional innocent lives
