Spot on, Marky.

Office Automation - and their ilk - tools became passe years ago - they are a Microsoft supplied commodity (who do it very well and as their volume is immense the low ticket price does not matter - does to Applix and our stock value).

No small business, let alone corporate, gets remotely excited/interested in such applications, be that right or wrong. It's a fact. Similarly most target customers don't give a damn what browser/email client the users use. That is more of an issue than OA tools standards and even that is a 'freeware' market, more or less ...

Applix's OLAP stuff seems excellent but they need to FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS.

Drop this 'being all things to all men' - even Microsft acknowledges it cannot do that!

Cheers - best wishes for Christmas/New Year, folks!

Back to the Chablis (well, it is 7pm over here!)
