but I have no knowledge of one ....

the freshly opened window will nearly always jump to the top if it is left on the screen without minimizing it as far as I know ...

I didn't mean to imply that you didn't know how to use the minus button, btw ....

depending upon the ie version .... I have several going on different machines ... the newly minimized screen will either go from lower case letters to Caps ...
or
will turn from dark blue to gray ....

this is how it works for me ... colors or actions could be different for you ...

but
to restate ....

minimize the freshly opening window is the only method I know to keep it from jumping to the top ....
