SOMX seems to have found support at the $5.50 level after its recent drop from the $9 level.<g>

Its PIII of Silenor for insomnia demonstrated statistically significant improvements on multiple endpoints measuring sleep onset, sleep maintenance and the prevention of early morning awakenings, it also reported a favorable safety and tolerability profile & a low discontinuation rate with no evidence of dependency, withdrawal, tolerance or amnesia.

SOMX expects that the drug won't be scheduled as a controlled substance & thinks that it has the potential to capture a share of the insomnia market,as they expect to launch it in 2009, but first they need to submit the NDA to the FDA.<g>

The FDA has requested that data from the genotoxicity studies & reproductive toxicology studies should be included in the NDA & depending on those results it may or not request carcinogenicity studies before NDA approval.

SOMX has no significant LTD, the insiders reportedly hold around 30% & the institutions, including BAC & JPM, around 70% (JPM upgraded the stock today from "underperform" to "neutral".<g>)

The short position which increased about 60% in the last month,is still around 6x its ADV.

At any rate, the stock is up today > 11% in spite of the general market, but still trading at a level substantially below its IPO price in Dec 2005.<g>
