Solar Flares/sun spots do no for tell the weather ie daily variances and fluctuations . They do give good insight as to climate warming up or cooling down . From that what patterns might be seen in the transition form one to the other or those that form once a transition has moved to a more settled state . Polar stratospheric clouds only form when the temperature drops to -85 in the highest reaches of our atmosphere . Usually occurs 2 to 3 times a winter . This year dozens of sightings so far .
