Been so long I forgot why I asked it. Surprised that I could go back down and read my questions.

Guess I was trying to think of God's providence and plan from the broadest perspective -- no doubt ushering in Christ was the most important -- but the whole tapestry is woven of individual lives that are very interesting, too.

Personally, I find the story of Joseph and his brothers very moving emotionally, not because I had any rivalry in my own family, but because of the "tower" experience of faith that Joseph experienced (when they came to him after their fathers death) which gave him a new, enhanced love for His brothers and His God.

Jacob and Esau's reunion interests me also for the same reason -- the effect on Jacob.
