First and foremost, do you think there would be terrorists in the numbers there are in the ME if their home countries were democratic, fair and prospering?

You augment my point. We can't negotiate with terrorists, because if what they really wanted was freedom from oppression, then they would terrorize and fight their own governments. Instead, they fight us and all the western civilizations. So it's pretty clear that what they want is what they said: a return of the Islamic Caliphate, but this time, one that covers the entire world. We have no choice but to fight that.

As for the purpose of a superpower being the world's solution to all the world's ills, I don't agree. The U.S. government is elected and paid for by the American people to serve and protect the American people FIRST. We have so many problems that need solving right here in the U.S. such as poverty, education, health care, social security, tax reform, oil dependency, that we don't need to go looking for other countries' problems to solve.

I'm tired of the whole world coming to us with their hands out. My first and best advice to the Muslims the world over is to start with peaceful reform first in our own countries. If that doesn't work, then feel free to borrow a line from the U.S. constitution to guide you:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,–That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness..."

So they should try solving their own problems with their anger and outrage instead of blaming and attacking the free countries of the world. That's just stupid, blind, and unhelpful jealousy. And if they are incapable of rising up, as has been the case in most of the Middle East countries, then they should remember how they have treated the U.S. in Iraq and DON'T COME BEGGING US TO SAVE THEM THE NEXT TIME THEY WANT FREEDOM! The situation in Iraq has virtually ensured that our country won't try this type of thing again, at least for a very long while.
