another voice from the near distant past arises from back center left... Welcome back, L3...wondered where you were. Nowhere near the center left, that's for sure. <g> You'd think, as much as I've posted over the years (after a long absence, still the third most prolific on this thread), that my location on the political continuum wouldn't be so hard to fathom. I don't know what prompted me to read SI today. A bit at loose ends, I guess. The very first post that came up was from Euterpe, as civil and thoughtful a soul as has ever lived let alone posted, defending herself from belligerent straw men. What are the chances of that? Anyway, the coincidence was too great so I couldn't resist.
