I don't agree that we should abandon Iraq to the terrorists. THink about the consequences if people like Zarqawi rise to power there. He will have the resources of a rich land to fund his further ambitions against the rest of the despots in the Middle East, as well as to fund horrific terrorist acts against countries like our own. He has stated that these are his objectives. That's why I recommended a phased withdrawal. As for Zarqawi, he's already in power there. ted
