re: Imagine another North Korea, but one whose sole goal is to inflict as much damage on the U.S. no matter what the cost. Imagine a North Korea with billions of dollars from oil revenues and access to scientists who know how to build a nuclear bomb and other forms of WMD. Imagine a North Korea who isn't just willing to bluster, but is willing to launch nuclear strikes against the U.S. despite certain destruction themselves. But before they were to inflict damage on the U.S. they would most certainly attack many of their neighbors to destabilize those regimes. That would result in a certain response from the U.N. Security Council, which would result in an even larger war than what we face today.

"Imagine... imagine... imagine...". Just because you can "imagine" it, it doesn't make it real. Before we left Vietnam, there was a universal consensus that there would be a bloodbath. It never happened. Vietnam got on quite well without us. Much better than with us.

What you don't understand is that we cannot fix this. The longer we stay, the worse it will be when we leave. It's over, we just don't know it yet.
