DScottD, I have heard other people say the same thing--that the Illinois temple is beautiful and peaceful. There are only seven Bahai temples in the entire world, even though more people are joining the faith, so I guess temples are not central except for pilgrimages, or something.

What I find appealing about it is its inclusiveness, and the recognition of all the major prophets like Jesus, combined in a very peaceful philosophy.
