And don't forget the cellular/portable phone market. A low cost, high capacity, and light weight cell would be eagerly gobbled up in very large quantities by Motorola, Nokia, Ericsson, and numerous other players. I don't know much about Zinc-Air batteries, but I am assuming that they are superior to lithium-ion cells (which BTW is the current and near-term battery technology of choice among portable phone manufacturers). The next generation of portable phones will feature direct satellite capability will require even more capacity, while at the same time trying to maintain a small size and light weight. The market for such portable phones will be enormous, especially in developing countries where there is no existing communications infrastructure. If AER can get this technology working, the potential will be truly astounding.

Can somebody here point me to somewhere on the net where I can obtain more info about the Zinc-Air technology, especially how it compares to lithium ion?
