Hi Dwight - Did you see CEO Schmidt on CNBC? Nothing new to me but he was very conservative on disclosing future earnings expectations both positive and negative. The only thing he would state was that "...revenues 'I think...' have stabilized." and that their full new IP based products (now in Beta 3 ..w/ over 30K customers testing) will be available in the summer.

His statements were not solid remarks but paraphrased with "I guess" or "We do not know yet". Therefore I can only conclude that our CEO really does not know where earnings or revenues will be 1 year out. His main goal now is to migrate the Novell proprietary standard "IPX" to "IP and TCP/IP" so it is compatible with the current industry standards.

He did state that the Novell channel distribution model is one of the "current" best with IBM and Microsoft leading the industry. Perhaps he is hinting to any potential acquirer that any merger candidate must be willing to pay a premium for their installed base and worldwide distribution channel.

EKS

P.S. CEO Schmidt also stated that there are no plans to spend any of the $1 billion..."WE just plan to let it sit there...".
