Sofa, if Harper wants to lead us, he would first do well to get to know us It is not 'unanimous' consent we look for in international affairs, it is a degree of respect for the principles of democracy Yes we have led the way in the past, and we are doing so now - we are emphasising the primal importance of resisting the impulse to empire in favour of more inclusive participation in the making of decisions .... in this we are acting in the interests of the great majority involved, in the end we will be seen as a far better ally than those who simply kneel to the first barked order they hear
