good point from Lance Lewis tonight

In addition to the good vibes people were feeling off of CSCO, Fed heads were all over the wires talking up the economy. Fed cheerleading abounded, but the comment that caught my eye was one by Minneapolis Fed President Gary Stern. Stern said, "There is no question" that a U.S. economic recovery is under way. Well, that’s certainly news to me. This of course begs the question: if there is no question that a recovery is underway? Then why the surprise 50 bps dose of crack last week? What we have here, ladies and gentlemen is a Fed that has used up its firepower in a failed attempt to jam stocks higher and is now reduced to trying to talk them up.
