Raymond > Without the Internet, the presenter of this lecture would have been nearly as uninformed as the American public in general about the facts of DU poisoning
And what difference will it make if they are informed?
The US soldiers are simply cannon-fodder and are completely expendable. No-one, except their family, gives a hoot if they are injured or killed. And as far as the Iraqis are concerned, they are vermin and the more of them who die the better --- women, children, foetuses, the lot.
What "we" want in Iraq, besides the oil of course, is a pristine land, denuded of all existing lower forms of life, in order to make way for repopulation by (I'll give you one guess), and it is perfectly clear that DU is one of the principal means to be used in achieving that end.
Anyway, as an American taxpayer you should be pleased that DU is used instead of lead or another heavy metal because, being a by-product of nuclear technology, it costs virtually nothing, in fact it is waste, which otherwise would have to be disposed of in some other way and at your expense. You can't say your government doesn't have your interest at heart. |
