Anyware vs e-suite vs MS Office

Rod & Carl - I thought I would jump in on this one.

The biggest problem facing acceptance of an alternative to MS Office is that whatever that alternative is, it must interoperate with MS Office, or the switching cost for a customer is too high. By "interoperate" I mean, that when you get that email attachment of a powerpoint presentation, you need to be able to open it. When you send a proposal composed in a word processor, the recipient must be able to open it. Unless the alternatives deliver that level of compatibility, the "users" of the alternative will complain they cannot get their work done, and advocate to keep MSOffice. This is just how it is, regardless of the intellectual correctness of your argument(s), Rod, to which I once also fully believed. [any comment, Carl?]

Regarding stock price, If they continue to make their number, the price will go up. But I wouldn't expect their growth engine to be the office suite.

Over and out...
