Good Post PigBoy,

Ironically, I tried for almost an hour yesterday trying to get anyone at Fastrak that knew anything about ADSL. It must have been Beth's day off. You substantiate what I had heard about their ADSL deployment. There is much variability of costs with regard to ISDN and probably will be for ADSL too. For example, I'm in Central California and pay $26.60 monthly for ISDN plus a charge for direct dialed calls. Last month that charge was $44.58 for 8,227 minutes. That's .0054 cents per minute!! My ISP (not PacBell) charges $22.00 a month. In short, I spend alot of time for a little money (IMO) for PacBell ISDN and am very happy with their service (there's never been a problem). But, after a year and a half on ISDN I'm able to imagine what graphics and sounds are possible on the web if higher bandwidth were available. PacBell is to be congratulated for offering the only standardized DMT ADSL available, and offering it soon; even if no one there, but Beth, knows what it is.

Steve
