I bought EWM for two reasons:

1) The size of the drop in value relative to other markets

and

2) The currency devaluation.

Credit does certainly dry up in times like these, but the devaluation was so severe -- there will be a demand for cheap goods. In my way of thinking one of two things will happen -- exports will grow over time or the currencies will snap back to a higher level. Either way ...

I think what you're doing is good -- looking around. There's bound to be another shock or two before this is done. This may in fact be a dead cat bounce -- but the cat is already dead! You may buy in cheaper than Jan 12 in some of these markets, but only if the Asian contagion comes across the ocean in a pretty convincing way.
