When the solution is not simple, then the best course is to let people choose the solution that works best in their circumstance instead of trying to impose one abstractly.

No sarcasm necessary. That is exactly the solution that will be imposed. It's called warfare. It is nearly always a competition for dwindling resources.

My suggestion is to stop unwanted children before they start, through better and more easily available birth control.
