I just can't find your post to me on Rock of Salvation, which I wanted to repost to you here. You said it all much better than I could and I'm sure almost every word fits the situation you and your family find yourselves living out right now, against everyone's wishes.

Please try to remember the words you gave me after I heard about poor, poor, poor lost Thomas from Eureka putting a bullet in his head and the circumstances surrounding that had left me barely able to comprehend life on earth.

You know that all of this, too, will pass Shalom, and as all of us here know so well, when the clouds do clear it is brighter and nicer than we remembered before the clouds appeared.

There are a million scriptures on this and you have given them all to other people.

Your sister would not have had much of a match if she could forget Tony so quickly. But for this terrible broken heart, that is healing, and we command healing to this broken heart(s) that it (they) be restored and the feeling of despair cast away by the Holy Spirit. Lord, I know that you delight in binding up the broken hearted.

The damage to the car seemed like a cruel joke, I know, but maybe this will be the strangest way to prove the true scriputure that ALL things work together for good for those who love God and are called, most especially through Jesus Christ, to His purpose. ALL things. Not some things, or most things, or things that are not really bad after all, but ALL things.

I only know that I know that I know that all things work together for good, that there are no mistakes and nothing that will not be revealed, and that time heals all wounds and at the end of Job, Job had even more to give thanks for than he did when he started out.

Have seen so many proofs of this I cannot list them, Shalom, and so have you. You must purpose in your heart to give thanks to our Lord for even this experience. Trust me on that, please.

Would like to also pass this on, since I found this while looking for the other, and it pertains to the question we seek, as to WHY. And of course as to why we are even here in the first place.

From a post on Rock of Salvation ages ago:

"I work with a guy who is totally cool in every way and never
says anything spiritual at work as a clue, but the other day
we were alone for a minute and he all of a sudden he's telling me
about his experience on the other side. Surely it must have
been a divine appointment, since none of us stand around
and talk alot because we're all too busy, and I have no idea
how in the world how the door opened for him to tell me.

When he was l7 he was dead in an emergency room for 10 minutes
he says. Some sports accident. Not a car, but total head
hemmoraging and brain damage, like in a head-on collision.

I didn't remember many details because I was just standing
there staring at him, making stupid amazed utterances,
because I never met anyone who had been on the other side.

He said it was like the white light you hear about, but just beautiful, what he remembered the most were all of the loving people that came up around him. He said it was the most wonderful feeling you could imagine. So like I said, I just heard it all in a
blur of wonder, but I asked, did you see any relatives--anyone you
knew? And he got this angelic look remembering it,and of
course the presence of God was all around us as he told the
story, and he said "no, but it was like I knew them all, I just
loved them, and I knew I belonged there with them."

That makes perfect sense because he was l7 at the time
of the accident and probably didn't know any dead people at
that age to recognize.

He said it felt like he was there for weeks, and then had
the same experience everyone has who does not actually die,
he knew he had something he had to do here, and I don't remember
anything else he said.

He is now very involved with God, as you can imagine, and loves
Jesus Christ quite openly. He too expects the Lord to return
for us very soon. He stressed that absolutely he was there,
it was as real as us talking together, but just different, and
he knew he was in "spirit" form rather than human while he
was there. He can't wait to get back, and he lights up like
an angel talking about it.

When we get a chance I must ask him for more details, if he
can remember all of them. "
