COMS doesn't have anything remotely (pardon the pun) like it. The package size is extremely important because of limited real estate availability in the Central Offices. Moreover ATM and FR are involved; again Ascend has the product already in existence with the exception of the ROK-based chipsets that'll become available sometime in Q3 1998. The ROK anouncement doesn't indicate how the ISPs will have to be equipped but if there's a market there it'll be a hot one, IMHO. Then there's the matter of standards - ROK announced the development early on in the game, hoping to see a standard emerge from the ITU ADSL.lite committee in time for when the chipsets begin mass production.
