Hi wlcnyc,

This is in regards to Windows 98:

By unchecking "System Tray" the tray won't appear in the right hand portion of the toolbar that appears on the bottom of the screen. Normally, you want to keep this feature of 98.

Didn't you notice any changes in the toolbar when you unchecked System Tray? Let me know if you didn't see any changes. Also, you might want to check to see if System Tray was check when you restarted windows. There are times when one unchecks a program in order to avoid starting it when the system boots. However, the program may reappear when the computer is shut down and restarted.
