Was happy to read that you increased your resources. To see the maximum amount of resources that you can get from your computer, you can uncheck all the boxes, except System Tray and Scan Registry, restart your computer and when you have booted up check your resources. This should be the maximum that you can expect to get. (Note: If you decide to uncheck your boxes to see the maximum resources available, I suggest that you make a list of all Checked Boxes before you uncheck them. This why you will know what needs to be rechecked when you restore the list.)
After checking, you can go through the procedure again, this time Check those boxes that you want to have started when you boot your computer.
In my cause, when I boot my computer I'm lucky to see resources in the low 70's. However, I have a number of programs checked off; ie, NortonSystem Works, CD R/W, Cookie Pal, ZoneAlarm, plus some others. So, if you are now getting 80%+, I'd say you are doing fine. You should be able to run your system without encountering any resource issues. Of course, this assumes that you don't open too many program at one time.

PS: You might want to check the list of programs and check marks in the Startup list once in awhile. They tend to change as you use your computer, load new programs, and for other miscellaneous reasons. |
