This thing about "losing at the low end" isn't really the case. With the demand on the power of Network/Internet, people who REALLY need the servers, like the banks etc., will keep moving toward the more powerful servers and NT is not going to cut it. What NT is doing is to sell to those who only use the "server" to set-up some web-site which isn't mission-critical after all. This is fine for MSFT to open-up some new market for NT but doesn't chip away SUNW's market in any means. Sun has been providing systems for business who use them for real productive purposes while MSFT has been in the market for home users and small business where a computer isn't really so important.
Don't get me wrong, MSFT is a great stock. INTC too for that matter.
