Papya King, WTI Intermediate and Brent North Sea Crude are just convenient crude markers for futures, commodities trading purposes. the quality of both types of crude is and has been relatively consistent for the last decades.... Crude is rated on an API Gravity System. The higher the degree number the thinner and lighter the crude (and the better products you can get out of it). Best oils that come out of the ground are Louisiana Light Sweet crude- in North America and I've seen some crude in Saudi Arabia that comes out of the ground so clean that you can literally put it right into a motor engine...
