Keith, that's a really masterful post! Worthy of discussing sentence by sentence. I need about another 24 every day to do everything I must do, and that I want to do...sometimes must and want merge, but often they don't.
I hope you are right....In fact, we had better all hope you are right. The alternative is definitely not good!
Going to dinner tonight, we talked about the people who expect that the Iraqi's should immediately take up where we left off....These people have NO idea of what it would have been like to live under Saddam's heavy boot for 3 + decades! One never from one day to the next if your kin would come back home again, or for that matter, if you would as well. They still can't in areas where murdering barbarians are coming in to blow up cafes, buildings, schools, etc. They really can't trust what party will surface and survive.
Mot of the rest of the Western world has been spoiled...Most of the time, we don't have to fear on a daily basis, who may be killing our kids or parents that day.
So hopefully, you are correct in your projections. |
