Tom, Just to clarify x2 pricing during test:

AOL has provided local access numbers in NYC, DC, Chicago, Skokie, San Fran, and Dallas. If its a local call for you, you are in luck. If not, they also have provided an 888 number that carries a $.10 per minute surcharge that will be added to your AOL bill. That's it for x2 access options for now. The stated intent is to roll out city by city local access as test results, finances, and hardware permit.

The interesting thing to me was a comment in the x2 test area on AOL that said "we do not plan to charge extra for x2 access during the test". That may mean they DO plan to charge a premium for it after it proves to be reliable. Stay tuned. A couple bucks per month more per subscriber would make a major difference in AOL profitability.

You mentioned that you travel a lot. Many AOL users keep it for just that reason. Local, non-surcharged access in many, many cities.
