Other interesting points from the article:

1.Reginald says that integrating the browser into the OS will
deal a significant blow to Netscape. I tend to think of it
as Microsoft bending to what Netscape wants in the firstplace --
eliminate the desktop as the center of all that we do. Advantage:
Corel and Netscape.

2.Reginald says that FrontPage is the premiere web authoring
tool, and uses this to point out how Microsoft uses strategic
acquisitions well. WRONG! a)FrontPage is pissing into a very
strong Web.MasterSuite wind and b) Microsoft is in a desperate
scramble to acquire to stay current. They have outsourced
creativity. Advantage: Corel and Netscape.

Mr. Hayer, very good point. If we put our heads together in that sort
of way, we can beat the analysts at their own game and make
this the most productive thread on SI. For such a well-known
company with such a wretched stock, the infighting has been kept
to a minimum. This bodes well for the thread.
