Have you seen the Sun Ray, Sun's new appliance?
Somehow I got the rose and not the Sun Ray.

It rents for about $10.00 a month. I don't know if your mom has a computer. Mine doesn't. But this appliance should be or should become so easy to use that even our mothers could use it, especially if they pay a fee to Sun to maintain the server.

So it means you could go from your house to your mom's, plug in your smart card or e-mail and log onto SI or e-bay. You could even send me pictures of Timmy.

The advantage is that you can always stay in touch. And you won't have to drag a briefcase filled with paperwork because your documents will remain on the server.

Eventually, with these devices I imagine you will hear audio and see video, which means you and I, together with Mephisto and Timmy could have an on-line conversation in real time.

I am not familiar with the details of how Sun Ray works NOW. I don't know if audio is possible now. It should be available in the future.
